Samsung has always made innovation to depose the dominance of the iPhone in the smartphone industry. This Korean electronics giant will produce a phone that is flexible with the name Galaxy Skin in 2012. Samsung’s latest phone (Samsung Galaxy Skin) is officially began to designed at Hongik Univesity in South Korea in June and then developed at CES 2011 in Las Vegas, Nevada by Professor Haeseong Jee and Jye Yeon Yaou.

The designers of this phone say its development is still in the conceptual stage. Gizmos Gadgets quoted as saying on Sunday (25/09/2011), the main advantage of the Samsung Galaxy Skin is the flexibility. This is the first phone that can be bent and resistant to hard objects or being hit by a hammer though. Samsung has confirmed that this production of flexible 4-inch AMOLED display screen with a resolution of up to 800 x 400 megapixel will begin to be released in the second quarter of 2012.

Instead of using glass, this flexible AMOLED said to use polyimide substrate plastic. Some tests have shown that Samsung Galaxy Skin will allow to be bending to form a cylinder with a diameter of one inch. 8MP camera will also be placed on the back side and VGA camera will use at the front side. This smartphone will be equipped premises 1.2 GHz processor and 1 GB of RAM. General connectivity such as Bluetooth 3 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n also paired in order to increase the perfection of this phone.

Experts estimate that Samsung Galaxy Skin will run on Android operating system, Ice Cream Sandwiches, but others say that this phone will display a new operating system called Android Flexy. What do you think? Would you want a multi-shape phone to start with? What would you do with it?
